Hosted by The Table Rock Runners, the annual Sunrise Run on the Greenway takes place on the morning of September 11th, the weekend of the Historic Morganton Festival. Between 200 and  250 competitors come out for the  5K and 10K races. Plus a number of kids take part in the one-mile fun run.

2009 saw a change to the courses that put both races entirely on the greenway. It was so successful, we're keeping it for this year!

After the race, be sure to stop in Downtown Morganton and attend the Historic Morganton Festival where over 60,000 people experience a variety of arts, crafts, foods, and entertainment. Bring the whole family!
